About this tool

PDF Redact blacks out sensitive regions such as IDs and account numbers before sharing.

A black box that still allows copy is fake redaction. After masking, search/select to ensure nothing remains, and cover neighboring cells for IDs and accounts.

FAQ

Can redacted text be recovered?

Proper redaction removes or irreversibly covers content. Keep originals private; share only the redacted file.

Multiple regions?

Mark several areas, then apply. Walk every page that needs masking.

What about metadata?

Body redaction does not clear title/author fields—edit metadata separately if needed.

Are files uploaded to a server?
